Cognitive Waste

Generation Kill. It's a new series from HBO. Worth watching. One of the more interesting aspects of the show, at least to me (which will probably be lost to many), is how well it depicts a 2GW command/control system in a modern context.
It also shows how all of that brainpower at the bottom of the pyramid goes to waste. Unfortunately, this brainpower/cognitive capacity in combination with unique situational data is several orders of magnitude superior (both in quality and quantity) to that available at the top of the hierarchy (where all the decision making is being made). Perhaps the fatal flaw in classic conventional militaries is that they waste nearly all of their cognitive capacity...

Bigg Boss 2 Is on

Never has the incipience of nemesis been proven as potently as with the inclusion of Jade Goody in this BIGG Boss season 2 with Shilpa Shetty now as Boss when not so long ago the latter faced racial attacks of the crassiest level from the former at the Big Brother counterpart where Shilpa was a mere inmate. That it helped catapult Shilpa into a league of a Superstar internationally softens the incident drastically.
Reality shows are here to stay. Not an avid idiot box fan, I confess the show has its entertainment quotient graphed high even if it only serves to reflect that we savour our fellow humans making a rollicking spectacle of themselves as the lustful lure of ‘green’ beckons. There is no other sane explanation as to its popularity across the globe, across all demographics, cultures, ethos, countries.
There is a curious mix this season, multifarious mindsets, personalities and backgrounds all 14 of them imprisoned in this bivouac for the next 84 days or thereabouts, depending of course on the eviction each week. Not much interested in second guessing the winner what grabs me is the revelation of inner demons that so accurately surfaces as days go by, unfailingly.
Despite the noble intentions of the inmates on entering this convuluted albeit capacious House, their pugnacious self soon emerges, insiduously triggered by the format of the programme and the sly manoevuring of the programmers.

i think that one of the biggest traps that start-ups can fall into is that they become too obsessed with the product itself, and not pay enough attention to marketing it. Startups often easily convince themselves that marketing is a secondary activity, which isn’t core to the success of their product.If you build it, they will come’. This wrong assumption is based on another premise – that if you build a great product, it will market itself. I’m not saying that this is completely untrue – but this statement is almost the same as saying that if you have a bad product, then no amount of marketing can save it – and who can argue with that?
Obviously a great product is the starting point of any new business, and of course the better your product, the more likely people are to talk about it. But I believe that that is not enough. You need to assist the spreading of the word. If you don’t your competitors and you’ll be left behind super-fine-tuning your product while the next guy spends his time shouting about his product and accumulating users and revenue.

Last Friday i have seen most waiting movie of the year Singh is King,when i got the review from internet That Dont use ur Brain while watching movie i got that this film willbe extraordinally Hit,it proved right as is going good at international,world wide collection is good,Main thing is movie humour is fantastic,people like as they want entertainment for 3hour and vipul shah and Aneez Bazmee has given them,Akshay-Katrina constant three in a row hit for them,Of the few jokes that actually work is the one where a petrified Sonu Sood is innovatively used as a domestic help. Others are of the unintentional variety where you see Yashpal Sharma or Kamal Chopra falling into a jig. You know the rules when you watch a hardcore entertainer: Just don't look for logic. If you do, too bad for you, for you would never enjoy a film of this genre and more specifically, SINGH IS KINNG. Anees Bazmee's films are very high on entertainment. The plotline may be paper-thin, perhaps ludicrous and farcical, but when did Bazmee ever promise a SCHINDLER'S LIST or a SAVING PRIVATE RYAN? SINGH IS KINNG works because it delivers what it promises: Full on entertainment! The camera loves Katrina Kaif and it shows in SINGH IS KINNG too. She looks bewitching and enacts her part with tremendous confidence. Kirron Kher is superb and so is Om Puri. Terrific performances! They compliment Akki so well. Ranvir Shorey is first-rate. Sonu Sood is another actor who's finally getting his due in Hindi films. Javed Jaffrey's character works big time till he does a somersault in the pre-climax. Neha Dhupia is engaging. The nok-jhonk between Sudhanshu Pandey and Yashpal Sharma is perfect. Manoj Pahwa is good. On the whole, SINGH IS KINNG lives up to the hype and hoopla. Want a joyride without taxing your brains? Board the SINGH IS KINNG wagon

Glorious moment

India wins a Gold after 25 years and the first in an individual event. I was absolutely thrilled to see Bindra receiving the Gold, and I had goose bumps when India’s National Anthem began playing. What a moment! My congratulations to Bindra for his achievement. He has done India proud and given us all a moment to celebrate. I would recommend to everyone to do a google search on Indian Hockey at the Olympics. You will be amazed to read the reports of India’s achievements in the game. Absolutely fascinating. We were leagues ahead for decades, don’t know what happened after that. At this time I cannot help but remember the reaction of certain people across the country when India had lost a cricket match/tournament and people began attacking the homes of various players. How easily we forget that our sportspersons are trying their best. They too want to win. They are the ones who have worked day and night and are certainly more upset than we the supporters are. At that time instead of standing by them in their moment of loss and dejection we attack them. And I put a large part of the blame on a number of TV News channels at times like this, who only fan tempers and in fact glorify this kind of hooliganism. But back to Bindra. Well done, and thank you for bringing us glory and joy.
